Title Pending.

So, uh, as my blogger title suggests, this is a new experience. As I've only seen artists on this site, I suppose I'll have to post concepts. Well, here ya go:

This charming fellow's name is "Fayth." Contrary to appearance, he is not a mutant bat. He is, actually, a mutated angel. Formerly God's right hand "man," he went insane with pride and deemed all mortals unworthy of Heaven, slaughtering many. He was thus transmogrified into this beast and cast down to Hell, where he guards it against invaders. (This happened after Dante's epic journey.) The blade he wields is called "Furlahar." It is the sole weapon with the power to harm and condemn souls.

This is concept art for a novel I'd once considered writing. The man in the foreground is Mathias Aileron, a mercenary hired to retrieve the Furlahar. (I'll explain details later.) The silouette in the background is of Fayth.

This is a cute rendition of Math made using a South Park editor.

More to come in the future, perhaps.

I like the idea of concept art. It really allows you to see certain things before you have to write about it. I supposed this is especially helpful when writing teleplays or screenplays where you don't get the chance to describe things in the traditional way. I think this idea is great for a blog. Keep them comming, Matt.
